The legs are still there for Teemu but the hands are finally going. He's missed a couple of chances that he used to NEVER miss. Hey, it happens to everyone eventually. I think your example of Silfverberg returning is a good one. Jakob's shot is sooo good that defenders will naturally cheat towards him and should open up more room for Teemu.

You've given me hope. Teemu has looked a step slow (ok, two steps) and has lost his hands lately. Let's hope Silf can resurrect Teemu's sagging play.

It might be nice to have some actual NHL-level defensemen at our disposal after Cam, Sami, and maybe The Rev. Our blue line the other night consisted of Fistric (27, 8th defenseman), Fowler (21), Grant (24, making his NHL debut), Lindholm (19), Lovejoy (29, couldn't make it on the Penguins, and they have no defensemen, though he looks decent with us), and Vatanen (22, veteran of 29 NHL games). MEDIC!

Turns out Silfverberg is now out 8-10 weeks from the original injury. I guess it just didn't heal like it was supposed to. Hopefully when he gets back not just Selanne starts to pick it up. Perreault has completely fallen off the map since Silfverberg went down.

True this, and yet they took the Sharks to a shoot-out. The same Sharks team who beat media darling St. Louis 6-3 the night before. Imagine how good they'll be when everyone is FINALLY healthy.

Speaking of Grant, I don't understand the Penguins and how they evaluate defensemen. Murray got Lovejoy for nothing and he got Grant from them for Harry Z.(I always butcher his name so I ain't even trying). This coming from a team that's, as you stated, weak defensively.

Christmas was the best case scenario, but I'm guessing he'll be back the first of the year with Sheldon Souray.

Teemu's just a little snake bit. Every player has that type of season once in awhile. Too bad it's happening to Teemu during his last season, but I have hope that he'll turn things around. He still has the wheels and the hands, he just needs to have some faith

Souray will help our powerplay ...just let him swing away and someone will pick up the loose rebound
